About Us

On East Main Street in Ashland, Oregon, Lodge #944 has earned a 4.5-star reputation the old-fashioned way: through genuine hospitality. Ask anyone who attended the Hoop Shoot competition here and they'll tell you the same thing, contestants and guests were greeted with free hot dogs, cold drinks, and handshakes from members who actually meant it.

The kitchen is the lodge's not-so-secret weapon. The daily lunch rotation keeps regulars coming back to see what's on, and the fries have picked up a local following that goes beyond the membership card. Friday dinners draw a crowd for good reason, the rotating menu keeps things interesting and the prices stay honest. This is not a banquet hall pretending to be a community. It's a working lodge that happens to serve some of the best fries in the Rogue Valley.

Visiting Elks are always welcome. If you're passing through southern Oregon, ring the bell and give it a moment. The lodge is active and the members are the kind of people who show up for each other and for guests who make the trip.

What We Offer

Lodge #944 runs a full kitchen open for lunch most days of the week, with a rotating menu that changes daily so there's always a reason to come back. Friday night dinners are a standing tradition, with weekly specials at prices that reflect what a fraternal lodge is supposed to be.

Beyond the dining room, the lodge hosts Hoop Shoot competitions, community fundraisers, and member events throughout the year. The bar is open to members and their guests, making it a natural spot to unwind after work or catch up with fellow Elks from across the country. Visiting members from any lodge are encouraged to stop in and enjoy the facilities.

The lodge also supports Elks National Foundation charitable programs, youth initiatives, and local community causes, carrying out the mission that has defined the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks for more than 150 years.

"Travelled from Southern California. Saw this lodge was open. Parked it front and rang the bell. No answer. Called. No answer. Walked around back and rang the bell, no answer. Saw the sign that the lounge is on the second floor through the double doors. Despite "being open" we got left outside. Ended up at the pub just down the street before leaving. Weary Elks after a long drive just to be left outside with no answer. Saturday, November 8th at 3:02PM."

"The Lunch is good, the menu rotates daily, and this place has the best fries in town. Dinners on Friday are good as well. Again the dinners rotate weekly, and the prices are good. You have to be a memeber, or a friend, but it's worth it."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
